I've listened to Springsteen's Working on a Dream album several more times now. It's grown on me some, but with a few exceptions, I still don't love it like I do some of his other stuff. Thanks to matt_wallace 's F'n Advent, I'm seriously pondering picking up a Santa hat myself.  That said, I don't think anyone can rock the red velvety cowboy hat with white fur trim the way the Boss does.  And I'm not sure anyone else should try.

We were greeted outside this morning by rainslicked streets reflecting the pink and rosy skies.  There were a few clouds in the air, some white, some gray, depending on where the sun was hitting them.  Rain sprinkled down while blue skies poked through the clouds.  And one of the best rainbows I've ever seen here hanging in the sky in front of us ( Read more... )

For a brief time, we had another set of tickets to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band play in Anaheim. Then, we ended up going to England instead. I don't really regret that decision, but watching this video of Bruce and Tom Morello jam The Ghost of Tom Joad makes me wish I was a jumper.

Bruce Springsteen's Magic completely kicks ass.  It's totally different than the last 3 albums he's put out (which were all totally different from each other).  And with the exception of Radio Nowhere (far from my favorite song on the new album), this collection is more reminiscient of the Boss's Glory Days sound, when he was recording stuff like ( Read more... )
